I would also like to apologise for being a arse and talking drivel for so long, please forgive these actions, im just a frustrated opera user, and its not like I could take it out on IE users as they have 90% of the market share (according to my local corner shop owner, and a man I talked to in the park). I will try not to make stuff up in the future, but its hard not to when your trying to seek attention I just want people to notice me and take me seriously. Also I spent so long making those new mozilla graphics but nobody thought they were funny, so I had to come up with a reason for there existance I apologise for any offence and will try to stop linking to them.

I think in hindsight I have earned this http://www.dumbass.com/award.jpg

How am I a frustrated Opera user? I love it. It works. IE users are for the most part passive and have no idea why Gecko is more standards compliant or what even Opera is. That's why IE is so popular: its gets people on the web, sometimes, no extra junk. Let's remember that AOLTW is the same aggressive, capitalist coroporation MS is. Just because one's stock price plummeted more than the other doesnt make one worse/better. They are equally manipulative and corrupt.

IE is bundled with windows as already stated hence the dominance. IE does contain extras such as alexa adware, but has nothing like tab browsing and isnt standards compliant. From what I know opera doesn?t have that great a share of the browser market either, but you admit its better than IE, shouldn?t you make a few conclusions from that yourself?

I don't use Phoenix instead of IE because I hate dominance by a giant company. I use Phoenix because I find it more pleasant to use than Internet Explorer. Especially the tabbed browsing, the popup blocking and the much more standards-compliant rendering engine. I don't care what huge mega-company is behind it all.

Some people prefer Opera, and I'm fine with that too. But personally I don't like the ads, or the bloated initial appearance. Or the fact that the source is closed and they are actually charging for the ad-free versions. That's stuff I take into considering when choosing which browser I'll use, and you should respect that as much as I respect your choice.

BBC Browser Info

A nice review with some accurate usage data.

P.S well said djst, exactly what I was thinking, but not quite putting into words.

"It's a very good browser, very up to date, very compliant with the world wide web standards, follows them very closely, more closely than any other browser," said Mr Bennett.

That's exactly why Mozilla will never become popular. No one cares or knows about standards. Since a fraction of 1 percent of websites actually attempt to validate, it is very unlikely ordinary users know about such things. Have a standards browser that is mainstream friendly.

"Adnan Osmani, a 16-year-old from Ireland, has designed XWebs. He says it is five times faster than anything else but he would not demonstrate it to us. "

Just as a sidenote, who would publish this bullshit? If you actually calculate the lines of code this liar must have written, it exceeds very fast typing speeds. Anyways...

You are honoured by such an award! Personally I find it difficult to reconcile his "fire breathing wild man of the internet" image with the fact that in the picture he's wearing a beige jumper. Could just be me though.

It's called a sweater. You know, those things you put on when it's chilly.

So you don't deny it's beige then. Admission of guilt if ever I heard one. Do your schoolfriends like it too?
Chilly? You're indoors FFS. Personally I just wear a vest whatever the weather.

Unlike you I am capable of retaining more than one word for a jumper / pullover / woolie / sweater / whorplethroft / thrippleclegg.

Please stick to what you are good at... errr... oh yes High Comedy.

1 - You are obviously unfamiliar with the term "cut and paste".
2 - You type every character of the code you've obviously never written ( QED from point 1).
3 - That explains a lot.
4 - That is all.

You should get out more, climb trees, play footy with yer mates assuming you have any.

Because it's better. It doesnt freeze, can be customized, and is easy to use. Mozilla cant say any of those except ease of use I guess.

I usually wear a golden yellow sweater but friends complained it was the only one I wore. So I got me a new one...
