Agree!!

One short paragraph will do dumbass. i think 98.9999% people won't read your post or at least can't get though the first two lines, including me.

If you want to get your message across, make them smaller, esp. in message boards.

Oh NO! I dared quote maybe 6 paragraphs! It's magical how far pretending to be illiterate gets you. I am amazed you got it thru this far in life without getting yourself killed.

not that lame McCarthyism again!
Loosen up!

And sing along:

"Arise, you prisoners of Bill Gates. Arise, you wretched of the net!
For justice thunders condemnation, for a better browser's in birth.
No more tradition's change shall bind us. Arise you slaves, no more in thrall.
The earth shall rise on new foundation: we have been naught, we shall be all.
..."

Maybe if you read it, you'd find out it wasnt McCarthyism. Maybe if you read a history book, you'd know what is and what isnt McCarthyism is. And just because I hate Mozilla, that doesnt make me a Bill Gates worshipper. However it makes you all look hypocritical since AOLTW is the same kind of giant overbreaking monolith that Microsoft is.

I like http://www.dumbass.com/stuf/mozillapics/ for Mozilla related imagery.

Those pictures as far as I and most other people are irrelevant to this discussion of the picture that appears on the mozilla.org site. People are allowed to change and post imagery of a public identity as long as they do not use it for commercial purposes and report known false information.

This is coming from the person who posted the same gigantic, long-winded rant on Communism (of all things) in a forum about a web browser, TWICE IN A ROW? icon_lol.gif

*raises FUD flag*

I don't think I'd expect much from someone who claims that Windows XP is based on DOS, and that file sharing is legal. Now, what was that about ignorance?

Just my two cents: I love Mozilla, and personally I have no problem with the images (except I think they're ugly). But even if just a few people connect these images with communism, I'd say there's something wrong with the images.

In other words, I think they should be changed. If not for the communism connection then because they are just plain ugly and unprofessional.

Why not go for the obvious answer - there is no shortage of stupid people who will interpret everything only in a way that suits their own prejudices. Soviet communist imagery has become such a pervasive stylistic device in so many artistic areas that only someone unsophisticated to the point of virtual idiocy would regard them as being one and the same with Soviet Communism itself.

Personally, I like the soviet style images. They are well observed and fairly amusing.

I figured as much. I was just making the comment for posterity's sake. icon_smile.gif

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not really as ignorant as I sound.

Don't everybody retort at once, now. icon_razz.gif

Now why can't Mozilla.org just remove the one pic that yui mentioned? I think that if the whole world viewed this one pic it would be seen with much distaste. Some people think that if the press got a hold of this information it would be beneficial and positive PR. I doubt it. Rather, the press would insinuate that mozilla.org is tied to communistic philosophy. Then the public would have a choice. Use IE from a illegal monopoly or use Mozilla from a communistic organization. Which one would you choose if you thought that way? It is easy to remove one graphic. It is hard to remove a tattered reputation. Mozilla.org has to make the choice. Will they just laugh it off and keep the pic or will they seriously consider taking it down?

By the way, it may be against copyright because of the dragon.

This is getting so boring. There are about 2 billion things I worry about more than a little image hidden on a web server that may be assiciated with communist images by a few over-sensitive leftovers from the mc carthy era or the cold war. You guys should use your energy to get US soldiers and certain US companies that dominate 95% or the market out of our sight first. 95% market dominance is something that some of the old communist cooperatives would have been proud of.
And by the way - I'll prefer that naive, ugly, but provocative artwork to professional images of beautiful smiling people any time, thank you.
